Obsessed with Soups
A delicious soup to aid detoxing & deeper cleansing 🍵
I’m in to soup these days, maybe it’s the colder (rainy) weather.. Or maybe it’s this new moon that is making me crave some comfort.
Did you know that beets are a high-antioxidant vegetable that contain a number of nutrients that have been shown to be cleansing and detoxifying? A few of these include betaine, which helps the liver cells eliminate toxins; pectin, a fiber which clears the toxins that have been removed from the liver so they don’t reincorporate back into the body; and betalains, pigments with high anti-inflammatory properties to encourage the detoxification process.
So why not?
Sauté 1 onion, 2 garlic cloves, 2 or more celery stalks.
Add: A bunch of carrots, 3 or 4 beets, fill with water and let simmer. I like to turn the heat off and let the veggies soften in the already created heat so they don’t lose as much nutrients. Place in a blender add a small piece of ginger and an apple. Blend until creamy. Add 1 tbls of white miso and 2 medjool dates, blend again until creamy.
Serve topped with coconut cream and I had some roasted Brussels sprouts
