Here are some ideas on how to make your own Nut and Seed Mylks at home.

ALMOND MILK

Makes

4 cups

Ingredients

1 cup of raw almonds, soaked for 4 to 6 hours </br> 4 cups of filtered water </br> a pinch of pink salt </br> 4 Pitted Medjool dates or sweetener of choice</br> 1/2 tsp of raw vanilla powder</br>

Method

Place all ingredients in-- a blender. Blend on high until smooth and creamy. Strain and store the milk in a sealed container in the fridge. This milk will keep for 3 to 4 days. Shakewell before drinking. 

Beauty Alert

Mix the leftover pulpwith a bit of sweet almond oil to make a brilliant nutrient-rich body scrub.

SUNFLOWER MILK

Makes

3 cups

Ingredients

1 cup of soaked sunflower seeds </br> 3 cups of filtered water </br> 1/2 tsp of raw vanilla powder</br> 1 tablespoon of raw cacao butter,melted</br> a pinch of sea salt </br>

Method

Place all ingredients in-- a blender. Blend on high until smooth and creamy . Strain and store the milk in a sealed container in the fridge. This milk will keep for 3 to 4 days. Shake well before drinking.

CREAMY MAC NUT MILK

Makes

4 cups</br> </br>This milk is without a doubt one of my favourites! . I love Macadamias, they make the most nutritious and creamy milk.

Ingredients

1 cup of soaked macadamia nuts</br> 4 cups of filtered water</br> 2 Tbsp. of sweetener of choice</br> 1 Tbsp. of melted cacao butter </br> 1/2 tsp of raw vanilla powder</br> a pinch of pink salt

Method

Place all ingredients in-- a blender. Blend on high until smooth. Strain and store the milk in a sealed container in the fridge. This milk will keep for 3 to 4 days. Shake well before drinking.

SPICED PECAN MILK

Makes

4 Cups

Ingredients

1 cup of activated pecans</br> 4 cups of water</br> 2 tbsp of sweetner of choice</br> 1 teaspoon of cinnamon </br> 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg</br> a pinch of turmeric </br> 1/2 tsp of raw vanilla powder</br> a pinch of pink salt

Method

Place all ingredients in-- a blender. Blend on high until smooth. Strain and store the milk in a sealed container in the fridge. This milk will keep for 3 to 4 days. Shake well before drinking.
