Cold-brew spiced coffee to maximize taste and minimize acidity. Cayenne provides a spicy kick to get you moving, while neutralizing the little acid left in the cold pressed coffee, making this a well-rounded tonic to fire you up.
2 shot size glasses
1 cup organic espresso beans</br> 2 tsp. cardamom powder</br> 1 tsp. cinnamon</br> 1/2 tsp. nutmeg</br> Good pinch of raw vanilla powder
Combine all ingredients in a blender. Blend on high speed until the beans are transformed into the consistency of breadcrumbs (if finer your finished product will turn cloudy).</br> Place the coffee grounds in the bottom of a 8 cup sterilized jar. Cover with cold water and stir gently. Cover and leave to steep in the fridge for 18 to 24 hours. When brewed, strain through a fine sieve to another jar.</br> To serve, heat 1 cup of the cold-brew coffee in a small saucepan with 2 tsp. of raw honey (or other sweetener of choice) if desired, 1 Tbsp. of raw cacao powder, pinch of cayenne pepper. Mix well, do not boil.</br> Add a tsp. of Chaga powder and a piece of cacao butter. Blend and serve.
